REGULATIONS
The Silver card ("Carta d'Argento") and the Green card ("Carta Verde"), which are sold in conjunction with the RAILPLUS offer, are nominative and allow the holder to enjoy reductions off national and international ticket prices:
the Green Card can be bought by young people aged over 12 and under 26
the Carta d'Argento can be bought by senior customers who have reached 60 years of age .
The "Carta d'Argento" allows:
A reduction of 15% off standard first- and second-class fares and 10% off the standard fare for WL and couchette carriages. The Excelsior and Excelsior E4 carriages are excluded.
Application of the "Card" reduced fare (discount of about 25% off the "Standard" fare) on all international connections at full market prices leaving from and arriving in Italy (except for the Elipsos "Salvador Dalì" trains);
25% off all the international European connections at the TCV tariff for the routes of the railway companies taking part in the Railplus offer. The seat booking fee and the couchette and WL supplement are payable in full.
The "Carta Verde" allows:
10% off standard fares in both first and second class on all trains, and on journeys made in WL and couchettes. The Excelsior and Excelsior E4 carriages are excluded.

The Green or Silver card including RAIL PLUS can only be bought by showing a valid identity document at the station ticket desks and authorized travel agencies. It is valid for one year from the issue date, it is nominative and non-transferrable, and it must be shown - together with a identification document - every time it is requested by the on-board train personnel. Please note that it is not possible to buy discounted tickets for a date that is after the Card's expiry date.
In the event of loss, theft or destruction of the card, on showing suitable documentation proof, you can request the issuance of a duplicate by paying € 5.00 as cost refund (to customers who have reached 75 years, the duplicate is issued free of charge).
No refunds are allowed.

"Carta d'Argento" including RAILPLUS: 30 EURO
Card issuance free for customers over 75 remains confirmed..
* For cases of theft, applications for a duplicate must be submitted along with a police statement obtained beforehand. In cases of loss, destruction or deterioration, requests for duplicate must be accompanied with a declaration of replacement made by the applicant, as per prevailing Italian law
