"Carta Verde" and "Carta Argento" with RAIL PLUS discount

Carta verde e carta argento Rail Plus
From 1 February 2008, in addition to the reductions for national trains, the " Carta Verde " and " Carta Argento" offer also allows the RAIL PLUS discount for journeys on international trains. 

The "Carta Verde" or "Carta d'Argento" bear the RAIL+PLUS logo and the holder is entitled to the following reductions:

 "Card" reduced fare on international trains at full market prices (except for the Elipsos "Salvador Dalì" train to Barcelona)
Reduction of 25% off 1st or 2nd class international fares on routes connecting two of the countries taking part in the RAILPLUS offer (see regulation)

The RAILPLUS is sold solely in combination with:

the "Carta Verde", which can be bought by youths over 12 and under 26
the "Carta d'Argento", which can be bought by customers who have reached 60 years.
and can be purchased at the station ticket desks and the authorized travel agencies.


Prices of the CARDS:

Card Price
"Carta Verde" including RAILPLUS     40 Euro
"Carta d'Argento" including RAILPLUS  30 Euro

Validity

The RAIL PLUS Card is valid for one year. In the event of theft or loss, it cannot be refunded or replaced.

CartaViaggio

Also the holders of:

Cartaviaggio Smart (only with discount and until their expiry) can buy tickets at the "Card price" fare for international trains at full market prices that take in Italy (except for Elipsos trains).

Buying international tickets does not give the right to the crediting of points under the CartaViaggio scheme..
