Taking school groups on trips is cheaper, easier and safer with Trenitalia!
Teachers and students alike receive a broad range of services to meet as many different needs: from medium-to-long journeys with the trains of the Trenitalia Passengers Division , to the short trips by the services of the Regional Transport Division .

The routes may be organised individually by each school according to their own needs, at the same time asking travel agencies to arrange additional services (overnight/longer accommodation, guides, etc.) and any other services that will guarantee a successful school trip.
That's not all: travelling with the Trenitalia's Passengers Division trains is cheaper too. Groups of at least 10 paying persons, the "School Group Italy" offer applies. This allows a 30% reduction - on all days of the week, except Fridays and Sundays - on the Espressi (Express), Intercity, Intercity Notte (night), Intercity Plus, Eurostar City, ES*, AV, T-Biz trains and to travel with couchette and WL services; for school groups travelling on Fridays and Sundays on the same trains, the reduction is 10%.
The ticket price includes place booking.
For school groups of at least 10 persons travelling on the Regional trains, the reduction of 10% applies irrespective of the journey day.
You will also have a free ticket for a accompanying person, teacher or parent for every 15 paying students with a maximum of 5: for example, a group of at least 75 students is entitled to 5 accompanying persons free.
Pupils up to 12 years have the special children's fare, which gives an extra 50% discount on seats and 30% off on couchettes and wagon lits.
We recommend booking seats, especially for large groups, within 60 days before departure.
