Travelling in groups  

Travelling in groups by train is cheaper and safer!
Groups are reserved a special offer on all trains and destinations, and for short-medium and long-distance journeys.

Groups travelling on our trains within Italy are entitled to reductions for groups of at least 10 paying persons.

For groups, the Ordinary Groups offer is available which entitles holders to a reduction that differs according to the numbers in the Group.

In particular for journeys on the Espressi (Express), IC, ICN, IC Plus, ES* City, ES*, AV, T-Biz trains, or in couchette or wagon lits carriages, the following reduction applies:
10% in first and second class for journeys made by from 10 to 49 paying persons from Friday to Sunday, and 20% for the other days of the week;
10% in first and second class for journeys made from 50 and more paying persons from Friday to Sunday, and 30% for the other days of the week.

Place booking is compulsory and free.
For journeys of groups made on the Regional trains, the 10% reduction applies irrespective of the journey day. Place booking is optional; if booking is required, a reduced charge of 1.55 euro is made.
At the reduced prices for groups the reductions apply for youngsters from 4 to 12 years

The offer is valid for both 1st and 2nd class.

The discount for groups can be cancelled or limited for certain medium- and long-distance trains in the busy periods.

On some regional trains, groups are not admitted or they are admitted but only for limited sections and the place booking is optional and charged extra.

At Regional/Provincial levels, the offer can be subject to updates, modifications or exemptions.
You can book at all the station ticket desks and Trenitalia's authorised travel agencies.

For a quotation, you can apply to th Trenitalia Group Centres, in the stations of Ancona , Bari, Bologna, Cagliari, Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Roma Termini, Turin, Trieste, Venezia S.L. and Verona, at the Travellers Branches ("Filiali Viaggiatori"), or Trenitalia travel agencies.

We recommend you book as soon as possible and certainly no later than 15 days before your chosen train's departure.
