FLEXI FARE FOR COUCHETTES AND WL

This tariff, issued on request of customers, offers greater flexibility of use for a higher price.

Ticket change
This is allowed only once from the issue date and up until 24 hours after the train's departure

Booking change
Allowed an unlimited number of times until train departure and only once after the departure and within the three hours afterwards, also with Ticketless procedure, for trips to be made within two months from the original booking.
Booking Changes can be made on-line (on this site), from the ticket desks and self service tellers at the stations, from the ticket-issuing travel agencies or through the Trenitalia Call Center (on 89 20 21 without area code from anywhere in Italy from land-line and mobile phones). For Ticketless tickets, after departure, only by contacting the Call Center or the issuing travel agency).
When changing bookings, passengers must notify the booking codes (PNR and CP) on the ticket; it is important to receive confirmation that the change has actually been made.
The new booking can be picked up from the ticket self-service distributors at the stations (by keying in the PNR and CP codes), from the station ticket desks, travel agencies. When on the train, you must show the on-board personnel the original ticket along with the new booking coupon.

Refunds
If you do not use your ticket due to journy cancellation, you can apply for a refund before train departure by going to the ticket desks at any station or the travel agency where you bought it.
If the refund of the unused ticket is requested in cash, a 20% fee will be deducted.
If you apply for a refund with a bonus valid for 6 months, you will recover the full value of the ticket for the purchase of another one.
You can also request a refund of the ticket within 24 hours from the train's departure, with a charge of 50% on the price paid. In this case, the refund can be requested only at the departure station where the ticket was issued; it is not possible to request a refund in the issuing station if that station is the same as the arrival one. Alternatively passengers can request issuance of a bonus voucher of 80% of the ticket price.
For refund requests of tickets issued after a date change made after the originally-booked train's departure, a deduction charge is made of 50%.
In if it was not used for causes ascribable to Trenitalia, a full ticket refund is given.
In the case of purchase made on this site, also with Ticketless procedure, refunds for tickets not yet picked up can be requested by using the "refund online" function on the website (only for refunds of the whole purchase), by contacting the Call Center, or by an e-mail to rimborsi@trenitalia.it .If the ticket has been picked up, you must attach it to the refund request and send it to TRENITALIA - RIMBORSI - Viale dello Scalo San Lorenzo, 16 - 00185 Rome or present it to any station ticket counter, which will send it on within the day after receiving it.
Refunds are made by re-credit on the credit card used for the purchase. It is not possible to have a Bonus voucher for the refund.
For ticketless tickets purchased from the travel agencies, you must go, before departure, to the issuing agency or, after printing the tickets at the self-service machines, to the station ticket desk; after departure, requests must be made to either the issuing agency or Trenitalia's call center.

No refund or bonus voucher can be given if the amount to pay, net of charges (20% or 50%), is less than or equal to 8 euro.

Irregularities
Ticket holders for couchettes and WL under the FLEXI fare can - for the same journey section - also directly board other IC Plus, from the day of issuance and up until 24 hours after the booked train's departure, provided they stamp their tickets and as soon as possible notify the on-board personnel without paying any penalty.
If they get on a train of a different category for the same journey, again within the same terms, holders must pay any price difference, but they do not have to pay the � 8.00 penalty. Whatever the case, tickets must be validated before boarding, otherwise passengers will be liable to pay a penalty of 8 euro.

Socio (member) offers for Couchettes, WL and seated places
The Socio (member) offer is the great value solution reserved to CartaViaggio holders that allows customers to match their travel needs with their individual budgets. It has limited places, which vary according to day, train and class, and is also divided into two discount levels.

The new Socio (member) ticket is divided into 3 solutions:

Juniors: For young people up to 26 years holders of CartaViaggio, with discounts off the standard fare of 10% or 20%. Includes ticket booking.

Seniors: For customers over 60 years holders of CartaViaggio, with discounts off the standard fare of 10% or 20%. Includes ticket booking.

Families: the offer, which is valid for family groups of 3- 5 persons in which there is at least 1 adult and 1 child of 12 or under, includes booking (free) and allows for a 15% or 25% discount off standard fares (for passenger adults) and 50% off (30% off for couchettes and WL) for the children. At least one traveller must hold a Cartaviaggio.

Booking Change
Can be made an unlimited number of times from the day of issue until train departure, for trips to be made within two months from the original booking and, for places available under the chosen "Socio" offer, at all ticket offices, authorized travel agencies, self service machines, on this website or by phoning the Call Center 89.20.21* or the issuing travel agency, also with the Ticketless procedure.
The booking change is free.
Agencies may charge a commission for this service.
If there are no seats available for the chosen Socio (Member) offer, the change can be made, within the same time limits, by paying the difference in price from the standard fare. This can only be done through a ticket desk or travel agency.

Ticket change
You can only do this once from the day of issue until the train departure, from any ticket office or travel agency. Changes to tickets bought from the website by credit card are only allowed for equal or higher amounts.

Access to other trains
This is allowed provided ticket is validated and after paying 8.00 euros plus any extra fare necessary for using the different type of train or service:
- until three hours after the train's scheduled departure time;
- even outside this time limit, provided that you take the first train of an equivalent or lower category than the train you have missed.

Refunds
These can be requested only until the train's departure with a charge of 20% or, alternatively (not allowed for online purchases using credit cards), you are entitled to a bonus voucher for the full price to purchase another ticket within 6 months. Requests for printed tickets can be made from any ticket office or from the issuing travel agency. No refunds are given after the train's departure. No refunds or bonus vouchers are allowed if the refundable amount, net of deductions, is equal to or less than 8 euro 8.00.Refunds for journey interruption are not allowed.
Refunds of tickets purchased on this site, also with the Ticketless procedure, can be requested, before ticket pick-up on this site by using the �refund online� service (only for refunds of the total purchase made), by telephone from the Trenitalia call center, or by e-mail by writing to rimborsi@trenitalia.it. After the pick-up, printed tickets must be sent by registered letter with return receipt, enclosing your own data, to Trenitalia � Rimborsi - Viale dello Scalo San Lorenzo, 16 - 00185 Rome or presented at any station ticket counter, which will send it on within the day after receiving it. Refunds are made by re-credit on the credit card used for the purchase. It is not possible to have a Bonus voucher for the refund.
